The Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC) is mandated, in accordance with the authority granted to it by its Statutes, to license telecommunications equipment to be used in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). This includes undertaking all the necessary procedures to ensure the compliance of the terminal and facilities equipment used in the telecommunications network with the relevant technical specifications.
CITC has prepared the procedures for approving and importing telecommunications and IT equipment as well as the technical specifications that will be used as the technical basis for authorizing such equipment for use in the Kingdom. All parties manufacturing, importing or supplying telecommunications and IT equipment in the Kingdom must comply with the procedures and the technical specifications.
